Youth entrepreneurship final contest held

  24 teams from Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao gathered and took turns displaying their creations at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held in Qianhai on Thursday night.

  At the contest, 24 finalists in the fields of electronic information, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, mobile Internet and cultural creativity gathered for the final showdown. Screen detection by an AOI vision system and Shenzhen-based company Sunroll Tech won the first prizes and signed investment agreements with Hony Capital.

  Since the auditions in May this year, the competition has gained active support from related institutions in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao. The competition had divisions in Qianhai, Hong Kong and Macao, and was joined with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition.

  More than 1,000 young people with nearly 500 innovation projects participated in the event, which was supported by WeWork, a global leading workspace, community and service provider, with a total prize of 1.2 million yuan (US$181,271).

  In addition, a financing conference aimed at providing financial support to innovation and entrepreneurship projects was held at Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub on Friday, building a platform for roadshows to help excellent entrepreneurship projects attract investments and financing.
