Qianhai’s credit exchange platform honored nationally
The credit cooperation and exchange platform for the free trade zones and areas in the country developed by the Qianhai & Shekou Free Trade Area to strengthen cross-regional credit cooperation among the country’s free trade zones and areas was honored at the 2019 Xinhua Credit Cup at the Forum for Credit System Construction of Chinese Cities held recently in Jinan, Shandong Province.
This is the second honor in a row the Qianhai & Shekou Free Trade Area has won for its efforts in credit system construction. Its credit-based inter-departmental market supervision platform was named one of the country’s top 10 innovation achievements in credit application by the National Development and Reform Commission at the second Forum for Credit System Construction of Chinese Cities held in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, in June 2018.
The credit cooperation and exchange platform for free trade zones and areas in the country has been formed on the completion of a public credit platform in the Qianhai & Shekou Free Trade Area. The platform has been designed to deepen the exchanges and cooperation in the field of credit application, as well as boost areas to play a better role as growth models for the country’s development. Currently, there are 28 members in the National Free Trade Zones and Areas Innovation Alliance set up in April under Qianhai and Shekou’s proposal.
The honor-winning credit-based inter-departmental market supervision platform is a sub-platform of the credit cooperation and exchange platform. It was among the 31 institutional innovation examples selected from the country’s pilot free trade zones by the Ministry of Commerce in late July.
The credit cooperation and exchange platform is designed to entail multiple functions, such as enterprise credit supervision, dispatching credit alerts and sharing information on law enforcement with the application of big data analysis. The platform will be made accessible to all members of the innovation alliance for the purpose of conducting inquiries, analyses and supervision of enterprises registered in a free trade zone or area. It also aims to serve every member in the innovation alliance in the fields of institutional innovation, industrial cooperation and credit use.
Qianhai and Shekou will push further forward cross-regional, inter-departmental and interdisciplinary credit information publication and sharing on the platform. Currently, information regarding the 170,000 companies registered in Qianhai and Shekou is accessible on the platform. The companies have been categorized into four groups according to their credit risk rating, with a sub-module of company alerts, to help related authority effectively determine a company’s credit rating, increase supervision efficiency and achieve risk prevention through early warning.
Credit risk alerts will be sent out on the platform by analyzing the big data from government information and Internet credit resources to cater to the needs of each government agency and achieve precise and smart supervision.
Members of the national innovation alliance will soon have access to the credit cooperation and exchange platform for credit information of enterprises in the free trade zones and areas in the near future. Members of the innovation alliance will be encouraged to share their information and data to create the credit cooperation and exchange platform with more extensive data for wider application.
